Switch in a day. Compliant from the first.
Switching TPA is a one-day job, not a project
Carriers put off changing administrators because they imagine a migration. In practice it is one phone call, a driver list, and permission for us to contact your outgoing provider. Most programs are live within 24 hours, with no gap in coverage and no fee.
What you need to have ready
- Your USDOT number and legal company name.
- A current driver roster — names and CDL numbers is enough to start.
- The name of your current TPA or consortium, if you have one.
- Who your designated employer representative is, or who it should be.
- Whether you are already registered in the FMCSA Clearinghouse. If you are not sure, say so — we check.
What we do before you are live
We request your historic records from the outgoing administrator and tell you honestly what is missing rather than discovering it during an audit. We reconcile your roster against your driver qualification files, because the two disagree more often than not. We verify your Clearinghouse registration, get IPS designated as your C/TPA where required, and check your query history for gaps.
Then you go into a compliant random pool and we issue your compliance certificate — the document brokers, shippers and insurers ask for.
Do not leave your records behind. Your obligation to produce historic testing records does not transfer when you change administrator. Request them while you still have a working relationship with the outgoing provider — we will draft the request for you.
What it costs to switch
Nothing. No setup fee, no migration fee, no cancellation fee at the other end that we can help with, and no long-term contract on our side. Pricing is based on driver count and testing volume, quoted the same business day
Who this is for
Carriers whose current TPA has become unreachable. Owner-operators who have discovered they need a consortium and a C/TPA designation. New entrants preparing for a safety audit. Fleets running three vendors who want one. Companies who have just failed an audit and need remediation, fast.
If you are happy where you are, stay — and call us anyway if you have a compliance question. We answer those for non-clients every week.

Switching — the practical questions
No. Your drivers move into our pool as your old membership ends, and we sequence it so there is no uncovered period. Most switches complete within 24 hours.
Tell us early. There are established routes to obtain much of the history, but reconstruction takes time. Starting the week before an audit is the worst case — starting now is fine.
No. IPS does not use long-term lock-in contracts. Clients stay because the service works, which is also why we grow on referrals.
Yes, and it is easier than switching. New entrants need a written policy, consortium membership, Clearinghouse registration with a C/TPA designated, pre-employment records and documented supervisor training before the safety audit. We set all of it up as one package.
Yes. Plenty of clients start with the consortium or MRO review only. Most consolidate within a year, but there is no requirement to.
